We Pause This Show for an Advertisement

I warned you - I warned you that I would do a thankful blog on my new shoes.  Well today's the day.

I "mile out" my running shoes about every six months.  Manufacturers have come miles in making shoes that last miles, but they still are not invincible.  After a certain amount of wear and tear, the support and cushioning is not what it should be to support a runner's body and it's time for new shoes.  And here comes the advertisement ....

Asics!  I've been assessed two or three times in my running lifetime and the "experts" always tell me to use Asics for my body type, foot type, foot strike, etc.  So now I don't even try on my new shoes, I just ask for my size and walk out with my new investment into my health.  Putting on those new running shoes is like putting on a fuzzy slipper and glove at the same time.  The support feels heavenly on my feet and stepping down on them is like stepping into cotton balls.  I swear I lose several minutes on my typical run just because my feet are so happy!  I know some runners can't wear Asics just like my feet complain when I try out New Balance or Adidas or something else.  They were made just for me and I'm tres thankful for my new shoes today (and for the next month or so until they get worn in too much).  A.

By the way J., your last post came dangerously close to copying a previous one (Hola Homework - early Feb.).
