Don't Pop My Bubble
We had family night tonight. A cousin from the big city came to job hunt. Apparently he can make up to three times as much doing the same job here in our small community as he makes in the big city (where he can't find work). I know that our home town would not appeal to many people (his wife for one) but to me it has so much to offer. I like that I can get from one destination to any other in less than twenty minutes. It's special that our children are growing up in the same neighbourhood as I did. They say our particular area is in a bubble right now as the rest of the world is in an economic slump and we are thriving. So today, I'm thankful that I live in my little idealistic world where I'm choosing to ignore that we also have drug wars and corrupt business men and rough winters (and no Costco - gasp!!!). Let me live in my dream - don't pop my bubble :) A.
