Today I am thankful for walls that are down. Now you know I'm talking figuratively - broken walls are never good in the real world. But today I'm appreciating when people show their vulnerability and let their walls down and show the world their true selves. That's tough to do! A friend did that tonight, shared something that was very heavy on his heart that was very difficult to open up about. I feel so much closer to him and appreciate what he is going through because he allowed others to see through some walls he had built which weren't protecting anything at all except maybe his pride. A dearest one also shared from her heart this morning and allowed people to see through into her real self. That is so empowering to see others have the guts and courage to be real and not allow what others may perceive or believe to get in the way of being themselves. Bring out the sledgehammers people, (and maybe a backhoe or two). Things may get messy if more walls come down! A.
