As much fun as yesterday's post of "things I'm thankful I'm not" was, I'll stick to what I'm truly thankful for.
After supper today, I mentioned that I was a little chilly. My awesome, phenomenal, thoughtful husband immediately built a fire for me. When we built our house, we had a brief discussion/ disagreement on whether we should go with a gas fireplace or wood burning. I won't go into the reasons for and against each one but suffice it to say, we went with the wood burning fireplace. (I also won't say which side I was for). We enjoy our fireplace so much. No matter how hard manufacturers work to create natural looking fires through unnatural means, there is nothing like the crackle of the wood and the dancing flames to make a person thankful. Thus - my thankfulness of the day! A.
