A Not-So Typical Teenager

If you have ever watched the 'much music' channel, you may have seen their "What Are You Listening To?" pieces. If you haven't, i'll bring you up to speed: basically, all they do is walk up to someone on the street (who is wearing headphones) and ask them what they are listening to, which is normally followed by an awkward stare or the typical response of a mainstream song.

My dream is to be caught by these mystery music questioneers, not so I can do something silly, like speak another language, or yell 'Hi Mom!' or to just be bizarre, oh no. I want to be caught on camera so that I, a teenage girl, can proudly hold up my head and say 'I'm listening to Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture, the full version.'

I don't know what it is about classical music, but I love it.

A somewhat bizarre habit of mine is to blast my classical playlist as loud as it goes while cleaning. There's something a little more thrilling about sweeping to 'Blue Danube Waltz', or washing windows while listening to 'Ode To Joy', but I must admit, my personal favourite is vacuuming with 'O Fortuna'... epic.

So today, if it weren't obvious enough, I am thankful for classical music, and all the joys it brings me.
