Aqua, H20, Sustaining Liquid

For today's post, you need some background information.  We live in a rural area where we have to truck our water in.  Don't get me wrong - we're not in the middle of nowhere or anything.  It's only twelve minutes to Starbucks!  (Believe, I know!).  But we happen to be in an area that hasn't been developed for water piped into the acreages and we have never forked out the $30 000 to drill our own well.  One other small piece of info you need to know is that we have an "alarm" system rigged into our cistern so a light goes on when the water level gets too low.  So now onto today's thankfulness scenario ...
Last week was cold - really cold.  Our alarm system froze in the "you've got plenty of water" level.  So today when I went to wash dishes and nothing came out of the tap, we were quite surprised to hear the pressure pump running (and smoking - must add that part).  Apparently it had been running for quite some time with no water running through it.  I'm told that's a very, very bad thing.  What should have happened is that the pump should have been toast (wrecked, no longer alive, finished, gone to the other side).  But after we paid over double the usual amount to get water trucked out after hours, we (being my husband only) managed to get the old thing working and I can now: wash dishes, go to the bathroom, take a shower, brush my teeth, run the dishwasher ...  One really takes running water for granted until you don't have it!  I am SOOOO thankful for water.  (Sorry for the long post but would it really have made any sense without all the explanation?).  A.
