He Is Risen

Even though I refused to write about love on Valentine's Day, I have to write about Christ on Easter.  I'm thankful to have a relationship with a Christ who loved me enough to take care of my sins before I was even born.  I'm thankful that no matter what may happen on this earth, I know where my eternity is because of what happened approximately 2000 years ago on that cross.  I'm thankful that I have a friend who helps me day by day and will be at those gates to welcome me with open arms when my time comes.  I'm so very thankful that I have that assurance.  I'm thankful that even though most people don't acknowledge the real meaning of Easter, the government still sees fit to make it a statuary holiday so we can celebrate it with family and friends.  I believe in a Christ who died (for me - I'm His favourite!) and then rose from the dead to prove that He has conquered death and sin.  He is still very much alive - thank God!!!
