An Evening Off

Around here, an evening with no responsibilities are pretty rare.  But we had one tonight!!!  The kids didn't need to be anywhere.  My husband didn't have to be anywhere.  I didn't have to be anywhere.  I quickly said no when my daughter had several options of places to go and informed her I was done driving for the day.  We rented a movie, had a leisurely supper then all cuddled in the basement and watched the movie.  We haven't done that in a long time!  It feels like I've been somewhat detoxified by having this time with nothing on my plate.  Tomorrow we'll start the race again but today, I've been recharged and I'm ready for it.  Bring it on!  (But please give me another free evening sometime soon?).  A.
